This 8-day Tanzania Safari and gorilla trekking tour takes you to spot the big five animals in the Serengeti and trek with the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, giving you an ultimate East African Safari vacation experience. The 8-day Tanzania safari and gorilla trekking takes you to witness two African safari spectacles in Uganda and Tanzania’s major primate and savanna parks.

This safari covers the major wildlife parks, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park in Tanzania. The 8-day Tanzania gorilla trek will begin in Kigali international airport in Rwanda, from where you will cross over to Bwindi in Uganda and watch the gorillas, and thereafter take a flight to Kilimanjaro international airport to do your safari in Tanzania. The best time for this tour is all year round.

Please note to be able to view the Mara River crossing Great Migration Serengeti in the months of late July, August and September and to be able to cover the rest of the parks in this itinerary you will need to adjust this tour to a drive in fly out package in Tanzania part or add more two days to your trip or you may book this 12 days Serengeti Migration and Tanzania safari.

The reason you need to adjust the dates is that we need to ensure that you maximize your stay in the north of Serengeti to avoid long drives and be able to get to the airport for your outbound flight in time without rushing. The epic wildebeest Migration Mara River crossing takes place in the extreme North of Serengeti National Park, hence a long distance to Kilimanjaro International Airport / Arusha town.

Day 01 :

Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

You will be met by your tour driver at your hotel in Kigali city or Kigali international airport and you will be moved to Bwindi impenetrable national a park the home of gorillas in Uganda arriving in time for checking in lunch, dinner and overnight.

Accommodation plan: four gorilla Lodge. Meals: lunch and dinner.

Day 02 :

Gorilla tracking and pigmies’ community experience.

After breakfast, you’ll be moved to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla tracking and later start your gorilla trek experience around 8:30 am. In the encounter with the mountain gorillas you’ll be allowed to watch and enjoy every moment while taking photos for only 1 hour.

After lunch, you’ll transfer to the lodge for the hot lunch and freshen up. Later in the evening, you are to visit the local communities of the pigmies well sharing different experiences. Later have dinner and overnight.

Day 03 :

Road transferred to Kigali International Airport and flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

After breakfast, you’ll be moved to Kigali International Airport to catch your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport upon arrival in the afternoon you’ll be transferred to our hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight overnight.

Day 04 :

Transfer to Tarangire national Park and game Drive.

After your morning breakfast, you will embark on the journey to the Tarangire national Park. The endless plains baobab trees filled park has the largest concentration of 3000 elephants in Tanzania. Upon arrival at the park you will start off your game drive viewing experience and expect to see giraffes lions, and buffaloes among others, in addition, to the elephants. Arrive and check in for lunch. The game drive in Tarangire will be done in the afternoon until evening dinner and overnight.

Day 05 :

Transferred Serengeti national Park (central).

After breakfast you will, you will be transferred to Serengeti national Park home to 3 million animals which are larger than any Savannah protected area on earth when you enter Serengeti before you check in your lodge you will visit the thereUNeSCo heritage site oduvai gorge where the early humans thought to have occupied about 2 million years ago. You will learn much about the human evolution with the research of Dr. Louis leaky who discovered the human skull and other foils at this site in 1960 continue to your lodge inside Serengeti.

Day 06 :

full day, Serengeti Plains (central).

Serengeti offers Best wildlife viewing opportunities. It’s Home to 3 million animals. Including large prides of lions, herds of elephants, wild beast, gazelle’s buffaloes, zebras, and a variety of birds like an ostrich. The game driver will start at the sunrise, explore at the area to sport nearly all large mammals mentioned above. You will return to the Camp for lunch.. in the afternoon animals will be more active and continue with your game drive. There is an option to do a hot air, balloon Safari over the Serengeti.

Day 07 :

Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and game drive in the crater.

Today after breakfast, you will transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro conservation area, where are you will explore Ngorongoro crater with a ranger later in the day. On arrival in the Ngorongoro conservation area you will descend into the crater to start your adventurous trail. This area is compared to Garden of Eden on earth and the big numbers of wildlife can be spotted in the day, including all the big five, the black rhino, the elephant, the lion, Leopard, cheetahs, buffalo and lots of hyenas, zebras, hippos, and the wild beast being the most abundant. You will take a break for lunch in the afternoon then continue the game viewing in the south corner of the park. Where are you visit Lake Magadi to see flamingos, and as a water birds. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 08 :

Departure at Kilimanjaro, International Airport.

Depending on the schedule of your flight on your last day, you will enjoy breakfast and transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight back home marking the end of the trip
